Homes built with cavity walling can be at risk of wall tie failure. Homes built before 1935 were built using a solid wall construction however later properties were built using the cavity wall system . Wall ties are used in cavity walling to join internal and external walls. The problem is that over time these metal ties can corrode and fail leading to serious structural issues such as cracking or bulging walls.
CPM can conduct a full survey to establish the extent of the problem. We will then replace damaged wall ties with new ties made from a more robust material which is guaranteed not to rust or deteriorate over time. Our techniques are cost effective and can be done with minimal disruption.
