External Wall Insulation often abbreviated as EWI is an insulation and render system that is fixed to the outside of the property. It is designed to increase the energy efficiency of your home and reduce energy bills with an aesthetically pleasing appearance.
It essentially keeps homes warm in the winter via a Tea cosy effect and stops heat penetrating your home keeping you cool during the summer.
Specified Insulation board is fixed to existing structure with mechanical fixings and adhesive.
A Base coat render is then installed with fibreoptic reinforcement mesh to aid in strength and product longevity.
A Series of render coats is then installed to create the render finish chosen by the client.
